HOW TO RECEIVE "SPRING MASSAGE"

HOW TO RECEIVE SPRING MASSAGE

Feb 14th is the Chinese New Year Day, the beginning of  the  Tiger  Year,  also  the  first  day  of  the  springtime, according to the Chinese calendar.

This  year,  the Chinese  New Year  coincides  with  the Valentine’s Day, and it is believed the luckiest new year day  of  all:   A  “double happiness”  has  arrived  at
everyone’s doorstep.

Chinese medicine was given to the people by the  “Medicine God” about 5,000 years ago.  According to its theory, one's organs belong to the "five elements": gold(metal), wood, water, fire,  & earth. In the spring-time, liver, being wood, dominates all other organs. Chinese spring massage will target meridian channels and acupuncture points that relate to the liver.  We human beings, as part of nature, also revive like all other plants and animals. To keep your liver in a healthy state will heal all your other problems in the springtime, as it says in the Yellow Emperor's Classics:

"Liver, roots of limbs, the soul of all organs."

To coordinate with our spring massage, this is what you should do:

1) food:   Drink Chinese gou-ji tea. Eat chicken soup. Goat/sheep meat also nurishes the liver.

The following plants will also help the liver: spring bamboo shoots, spring herb mix, young chives,

 asparagus, bean sprouts.

2) Outside activity: Get out from your house or office. Get sunshine to rejuvenate the liver. A walk in the sun

in a wooded area is the best choice. Remember: your liver is like a green tree in the spring time.

3) Liver belongs to the sun. So do not stay too late at night.

I wish you can share this info with your friends and families. And I will stop here for today, because in "Zen", "Less is more".
